Pick and Pay Vs Shoprite : Here's what one Woman found when she bought butter from both these stores.

Major chain stores like pick and pay and Shoprite sell a large number of products to customers each day. Because of this it's safe to assume that there products would be of the highest quality and safe to eat. However that's not always the case. Here's what happened when a Woman bought butter from both Pick and Pay and Shoprite.

The situation :

In a post uploaded to social media site Facebook via"The Real Hello Peter South Africa" page, one woman explains the shocking difference in two tubs of flora butter that she purchased.

According to her post when she opened the tub of butter that she bought from Shoprite, it was "Full of water and melty". She provided a picture of the butter for illustrative purposes.

As we can see, parts of the butter have turned dark yellow, while other parts that seem to be primarily water, has frozen. This Does not seem safe to consume at all.

Seeing this, her son decided to open the other tub of butter from Pick and Pay and this is what he found.

As we can clearly see, this butter is safe to eat and perfectly healthy. So what does this mean for South Africans.

My Opinion :

First and foremost I believe that we should take this as a lesson to always check our products as soon as we take them home. That way we have sufficient time to return them as well as have the return slip on hand.

However more importantly it also shows that we cannot completely trust products that we buy in store and should always check them for our own safety.
