Superman VS Ikaris. Here's who would win.

Recently Marvel has been on a roll with their Television series and Movies. A new piece of content has been dropping every month since WandaVision Jump started Phase Four of the MCU. However in there most recent trailer, for The Eternals, people noticed something peculiar. One of the main Heroes in the movie, Ikaris, has a power set that has been seen before. This power set is almost exactly the same as that of Superman from the DCEU. So this leaves us, fans of both franchises with a question. Who would win if they went head to head. Below I analyze both characters and than leave you with a definitive answer.

Superman (Analysis) :

Superman’s power set includes strength, flight, laser eyes, speed and low level telepathic connections. He is meant to be the strongest character in the DC universe and has taken on many foes in his long run. Even though people believe that he has only one weakness, Kryptonite, the truth is that he has two other very significant weakness. One is that he draws his strength from the Sun, and in planets where the Sun is absent, he is much weaker. The other is Magic, which he is vulnerable too for some reason or the other. This leaves him at a significant disadvantage when he faces both heroes and villains who can manipulate his weakness.

Ikaris (Analysis) :

The Eternals will be the live action debut of Ikaris. However while we don’t know what he character will be like, we do know what he is like in the comics. He has a almost identical power set to Superman. However Ikaris also has other abilities, he can regenerate any damaged tissue on his body. He can also manipulate the air molecules around him, creating a shield out of almost nothing. This puts his psychic abilities at a much higher level than Superman’s. He can also teleport and shoot disintegrator beams out of his hands. Adding to this he also as no notable weaknesses.

So who would win :

Many people are not going to be happy with this answer but it’s very obvious at this point. Given Superman’s weaknesses, and Ikaris's improved abilities. It’s no question that Icarus would win Ina head to head battle. This conclusion takes into account that no other character was previously weakened before the fight or was improved by outside stimulus like red Kryptonite. Ikaris would be the definitive winner.

This doesn’t mean that Ikaris is a better character. Superman is much more beloved and known. However if Marvel is setting up Ikaris as their own Superman, Than DCs most famous hero may have serious competition. Marvel has a much better reputation of making better characters in the Movie Universe. They can take characters from obscurity to fame in a single movie and by the end of the year, if they want to. Ikaris could be the hero headlining their universe. What do you think of these observations, do you agree with me or not.     Superman has two weaknesses, kryptonite and magic,the sun is not his weakness but his ally cause it enhances his strength,i think superman will easily win this fight because of their difference in raw strength,as for the issue of ikaris beams superman can take it,marvel has the ability to make heroes in no time and make them great,but superman and wonder woman are the only characters they cannot compete with from DC

      You must've read it wrong. Red Sun takes away Superman's strength. And Superman draw energy from Yellow Sun. So if they fight were there is no Yellow Sun then Superman would be at a disadvantage.
